Tying a Figure 8 Knot

Here are the five simple step to typing a figure 8 knot.

Supplies

- 5 feet of any rope or cord

-two hands

Step 1: Fold the Rope in Half

Fold the rope in half, level equal amount on both sides.

Step 2: Slide the Right Underneath the Left

bring the right strand underneath the left tail

Step 3: Make an &

Pull the right strand trail over the top of the left strand to make an & symbol.

Step 4: Under and Up Through the Loop

Pull right trail of the & symbol underneath and then up through the upper loop.

Step 5: Dress the Knot

Tighten the knot by pull on opposite rope ends.
