Introduction: USB Emergency Charger. (solar)
USB charger module set up inside a project box,along with LED power Indicator (optional)
Purpose of the unit,is to connect to any renewable energy collection device,solar panel,wind turbine,electrothermal,hydroelectrical devices and charge an Single AA battery to connect to the usb charger,which in turn will charge mp3,mp4,phones,tablets,and usb gadgets.creating solar powered USB Power.
(Another usb charger module done slightly differently always good for reference,and will only take a single hour or less to use)

Step 1: Parts Needed.
1: x1 Project Box. (metal optional)
2: x2 colours of electrical wire.
3: x1 Green LED.(optional)

5: x2 Input plugs. (for power input)
6: Cutting tools for the project box.
7: Wire strippers for the wires.
8: Soldering Iron/gun & solder,for the LED & Module Power Connections.
9: Pliers for tightening the bolts on the input plugs.(optional)
10: Glue gun & Glue (optional)

Step 2: Construction.
1: Firstly grab your desired project box,and cut x4 holes into the box itself one of the LED(optional),Another for the USB input,And x2 Holes for the Power Input Plugs,once done solder a couple of wires to the LED (optional power light) and attach power input plugs into the box/case then attach wires to the inside of these connections and then the light connected to the middle of both wires,having a pair of wire cutters will be handy for this,solder in place if you wish,then add the light the the hole you cut for it atop the box itself.
2:Solder a couple of wires to the positive and negative ends of the USB Step up module,and then to the power input wire inside the box,hotglue the USB module in place,and do not apply anything over 2AA batterys it will likely fry the board in the process,taking the low voltage into account make sure the LED can run on a low voltage,as alot of common leds have a medium power requirement,try get a light that runs on very little power if adding one to the USB charge box/case,then screw or close the lid of your desired project box and your done..onto testing.
(LED light was optional as most modules will come with a diode that lights up,as such was not implemented)

Step 3: Testing.
Testing the USB power supply,attach a single AA battery and attach it to the power plugs via wires or a battery holder,or use a solar/wind/thermal/hydroelectric power supply output,and get your required voltage.
Gather as many USB devices as you need to test,you should have at least 1 or two devices around that have a USB input to charge the battery,hook it up to them and check the charging rate and efficiency some chargers will only get you to a certain set charge level 10% 20% etc,as such it only for emergency use and charging,however higher efficiency modules will charge to a higher power level,and are relatively cheap and or somewhat easy to make.
In order to make the device powered by your chosen power source ,charge a single AA battery from a solar panel/other to get your eco friendly power,i used this panel i made a while back to charge the battery and a few others https://www.instructables.com/id/Solar-Panel-Small/ ,As seen below it is charging the tablet with which the pictures were taken.
