Step 1: Cleaning Bottle

  • Most of the glass jars have annoying stickers on them
  • removing these are a challenge, in itself
  • Soak the bottles in warm soapy water for an hour
  • Using a utensil scrubber, peel as much of the label as possible
  • Resoak the bottles if necessary and repeat scrubbing
  • Sometimes the glue does not come off, use hand sanitizer to remove any traces of the glue

Step 2:

  • Mark 1-inch lines on the back of the vinyl sticker
  • Cut the strips using a box cutter
  • Stick the vinyl strips at a gap as shown
  • One can vary the thickness and gap between the strips
  • And Vases are ready for planting

Step 3: Planting
