Introduction: Upload Live Video From Facebook to YouTube

This brief tutorial walks you through how to take a live video recording from your Facebook page and upload it to your YouTube channel.

You'll want to start by recording a live video on your Facebook page. It's best if you personally recorded or posted the live from your page, to ensure that you have the 'rights' to edit/save the video.

I tried to do this process from my mobile phone and was unsuccessful. So I would strongly suggest using a desktop or laptop computer to complete this process.

Step 1: Facebook: Record & Post Live Video

Select desired live video recording from Facebook. When the video opens, select the drop down in the upper right hand corner. "Save Video". The video will open in another window.

Step 2: Download Video

Again, in the upper right hand corner, select the drop down (or three dots) and "Download Video".

Step 3: Download to Computer

"Download" The video will start downloading at the bottom of the computer screen

Step 4: Video Download Status Bar

The video will start downloading at the bottom of the computer screen

Step 5: Go to YouTube Channel

Go to your YouTube channel.

Step 6: Upload Video

In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click on the camera icon and select "Upload Video" from the drop down menu.

Step 7: Drag & Drop

After the video download at the bottom of the screen is complete, you can drag and drop it. (Or you can right click, Save As, on the video and Browse and select the video. Depending on how long your live video is, this uploading may take a few minutes.

Step 8: Edit Details for Video

In space #1, type the title of the video. #2 - whatever desired description that you would like to add to tell viewers what the video is about. Once the status bar shows completed "100% completed", you are now ready to post or "Publish" your video to your YouTube channel for public viewing.

Step 9: Publish and Done!

Once the status bar shows completed "100% completed", you are now ready to post or "Publish" your video to your YouTube channel for public viewing.
