Introduction: Useless Box
A useless box is a wooden box with a lever on it. When you flick the lever it flips open a hatch on the top a arm comes out and pushes the lever back to close the lid.
Supplies
1x Motor with reducer
1x Battery (2x AA)
1x Toggle switch (SPDT)
1x Limit Switch

Step 1: Design Circuit
First I designed my circuit online. So I have my circuit ready to copy onto the actual thing.

Step 2: Full Drawing Design
This is when I drew up a design of what I will be making.
Step 3: Soldering Motor Wires to Switch
In this step I soldered 2 wires to the middle pins of the switch.

Step 4: Attach Wires to Motor
Here I attached the wires from the switch to the motor

Step 5: Solderer 2 More Wires Together
I soldered 2 more wires together to use for the battery pack and limit switch.

Step 6: Attach White Wires to Switch
I attached the two connected white wires to the top right pin on the switch

Step 7: Add Battery Pack
Here I attached the white wires to the battery pack and the red wire from the battery pack to the switch.

Step 8: Add Red Wire
I added a red wire between the top left and bottom right pins on the switch.

Step 9: Attach Limit Switch
I finished the wiring by attaching the limit switch to the last pin and the white wire. This completed the wiring.

Step 10: 3D Design of Arm
Here I designed my arm on tinker cad that I will use.
Step 11: Make Box
I forgot to take a photo in class so I uploaded one from google. In this step I sticky-tapped and glued the floor and walls together of the box. I ran out of time to add a roof.
Step 12: Braket
Again I have no picture of this step but I attached the motor and limit switch to a 3D printed bracket and then screwed it to the floor of the box. This was my finished product because I ran out of time to add the roof, like I mentioned earlier. I also never had my arm printed so I am missing that.
