Introduction: VW Ebuggy Ride-On Toy Car Variable Throttle Mod

The control module replaced to JR1922RXS-AD that supports a variable throttle pedal.

Supplies

JR1922RXS-AD with BLUE connector

Variable throttle pedal

3-pin 2.5mm pitch connector (JST XH e.g.)

0 Ohm 0603 resistor

1.2 KOhm 0603 resistor (optional)

Step 1:

Replace old 2-pin pedal blue connector with a 3-pin connector for the new pedal.

Step 2:

Solder a jumper on R26.

Step 3:

Move R51 jumper to R52, remove Q4 triode.


If the car won't stop when the pedal is released put a 1.2K pulldown resistor to R51.
