Introduction: Valentine's Day Heart Pancakes
Instead of just your regular pancakes for Valentine's day breakfast, here’s a fun and simple way to to make them special….by drawing out heart shaped pancakes!
Step 1: Mix Pancake Batter
Mix up a batch of your favorite pancake batter... or make your own from scratch (see recipe here).
Step 2: Fill Batter in Ketchup Bottle
Heat a griddle to 375F and spray it with butter. In the meantime fill the pancake batter into a squeezy ketchup/ condiment bottles.
Step 3: Doodle Pancake Hearts
When the griddle is hot, start doodling heart shaped pancakes...be creative and fill up the hearts with patterns.
Step 4: Flip It Over
When the batter forms little bubbles on the top and is slightly dry around the edges, flip it over and let it cook for a couple of minutes more on the other side.
Step 5: Serve
Serve the pancakes warm on a bed of fresh strawberry sauce and dust with powdered sugar.

Made it and putting the pancake on the strawberry syrup makes the pancake soak up the syrup immediately. better to maybe put a ring of syrup around the pancake or something. My heart pancake came out perfectly but was served as a soggy strawberry goo-cake. Still tasted yummy though since we made the syrup from scratch from last summer’s berries. I topped it with a non soggy I heart U cake to de-soggy it. lol. Love this tho and it tasted pretty yummy. Served it with heart shaped strawberries and heart shaped bacon that you can find simple instructions for on pinterest. Didn’t take pics b/c it was getting soggy fast so we gobbled it up. Might have been yummy with a little squirt of whipped cream on side or on top? mm mm
