Wall Clock

High I decided to make the new clock I promised my wife. I have used six of cut pieces of oak. I epoxy resined the pieces together using sash clamps.

Supplies

Six oak of cut's, epoxy resin, colours to mix with the resin and acrylic paint.

Step 1: Cutting Out the Clock

I used my scroll saw to cut the circle out and then sanded it on my hi, then finished off hand sanding it to a finer finish.

Step 2: Using My Dremel

I used my Dremel to cut out the depth of the clock mechanism and the shape of the fish and numbers are used. A router attachment allowing me to control the depths.

Step 3: Applying Resin

This is my first use of this type of resin for art. I used colourings for the initial white for the fish, and a purple for the numbers. I then hand-painted the colours on the fish I used acrylic paints I then applied a clear resin to seal this over the whole of the clock

Step 4: Adding the Movement

I then added the movement to the clock and also a loop on the back so it could be hung on the wall thanks for reading David
