Wallmounted Filament Spool Holder

Introduction: Wallmounted Filament Spool Holder

The wall behind my 3D printer had some holes so I decided to build myself a wall mounted filament holder.

Step 1: What You'll Need:

Step 2: Drill the Holes

Next step is to drill the holes.

You need to drill the holes with a diameter of 4mm (0.157in) about 50 cm (19.6 in) above the printer and 1m (39.4in) apart from eachother.

Insert dowels into the holes.

Step 3: Print the Parts

Now you can print the parts. You need 2 holders and 2 endcaps.

You can find the STL-files at Thingiverse

Step 4: Mount the Holders

Now you can mount both of the holders with M4 Screws in the previously drilled holes.

Be carefull not to tighten the screw to much because it can destroy your 3D print.

After you mounted both of the Holders you can insert the stainless steel rod like shown in the picture. Dont forget to Add the endcaps. If you dont add them the rod might fall out. It might be a little hard adding the endcaps.

Step 5: Add the Spools

Now you can add the spools by just lifting the rod up on one side and sliding them on. You can add around 10 to 12 rolls.
