Water Bottle Lantern
Intro: Water Bottle Lantern
This is a fun and easy project you can make with things you already have around the house.
I'm very sorry about the lack of a thumbnail image. I promise I'll fix that as soon as a get a good photo of the lantern in action.
You'll need:
-A water bottle
-Water
-Barbecue lighter
-Screwdriver
-Hot glue gun
-Nail
Heat the nail and use it to bore a hole through the water bottle. Disassemble the lighter and remove the gas tank. Place the gas line nozzle inside the bottle and secure it with a bead of hot glue. Fill the bottle with water, press the valve, and light the lantern!

Fun project, how long does the butane last ??

Thanks! With the valve turned up, It should probably run for about 1 minute before it needs a refill. I recommend only running it for about 10 seconds at a time though. (you don't want to melt the plastic.)
