Introduction: Water Reminder
This is a machine that is able to help office workers to remind them to drink water. During summer, the weather is very hot, some people like me will forget to drink water. So I invented this machine to remind me to drink water, therefore I will not have a stroke.
I've used photoresistance and a piezo to be the materials as the water reminder. First, I used photoresistance and when the photoresistance didn't see light for a long time, it will report to the mainboard that it has been too long for me to drink water. So it will active the piezo to remind me it's time to drink water.
Step 1: Meterals
In this project, we will need
× A Photoresistance
× A speaker
× Breadboard
× A box
× Some wires
× 2 paper cups
Step 2: Start Connecting the Circuits
This part is the circuit for the water reminder. This is what the circuit diagram for the water reminder looks like.
Step 3: Coding
☝ This is how you will make the coding.
👇 This link will take you to the Arduino official website and you can see my code.
https://create.arduino.cc/editor/isha21700/b46a89a...
Or you can just copy my code below it's easier🙄
void setup(){
} void loop(){
int time=0;
if ( analogRead( A0 ) < 1000 ) {
for (int i=0; i<100; i++){
delay(1000);
time++;
if (analogRead( A0 ) > 800){
time = i = 0;
}else if(time > 5)// this is where you can change the time of the meachine{
tone(11, 440, 1000);
delay( 1000 );
}
}
}
}
Step 4: Decorate
Now we've finished the hardest part of making the water reminder. So it's time to make it look prettier. I used a box and stick red paper on top of the transparent part of the box, so the photoresistance can see light through the box. After that, I've created a water holder and stick the water holder on top of the box. After all, it looks good and works well.
So now you can decorate your project and make it look better!!
