I made a wedge table to go between our recliners

Supplies

2 2x4x8 boards

3 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 24" boards from old pallet

4 screw on glider/levelers

8 1/2" wood screws

4 1/2" angle brackets

28 #8 2 1/2" wood screws

Wood glue

stain

Step 1: Cut Top and Shelf Pieces

  1. You could use 3/4" plywood but I ripped two 2" x 4" x 8' boards in half and cut in 24" sections so you have 10 boards 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 24"
  2. Use wood glue to connect 5 board sections (top) and 5 board sections (shelf). Clamp and let glue dry
  3. Center a line drawing 15" x 24" x 8" on the top section
  4. cut out top with a circular saw

Step 2: Cut Legs

Cut 2" x 4" x 8' board into four 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" sections

Use 1/2" angle brackets to attach each leg to top section with 1/2" screws

Step 3: Attach Sides

Cut two 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 21" side pieces

attach to legs using #8 2 1/2" wood screws

Step 4: Attach Front Piece

Cut one 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 5" front piece and attach to legs using #8 2 1/2" wood screws

Step 5: Attach Back Piece

Cut one 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 12" back piece and attach to legs using #8 2 1/2" wood screws

Step 6: Cut Shelf

Set 5 board shelf section on workbench/floor

Set completed top and leg assembly on top of shelf section

Mark inside corners of the legs and draw the shelf dimensions on the shelf section

Attach shelf to legs using #8 2 1/2" woods screws (making sure shelf is level)

Step 7: Sanding

Sand all surfaces smooth

Step 8: Stain

I used an Ace Hardware One Step Walnut Stain

Step 9: Attach Glider/Levelers

Drill holes in bottom of each leg and add screw in adjustable glider/ levelers
