Introduction: Wet Felted Wool Fabric

MATERIALS

Wool (You can also get wool roving on Amazon)

Olive Oil Soap

Mesh Fabric

Bubble Wrap (I like to recycle the plastic packaging from Amazon, but here's a link if you need to buy it new)

Ball Brause

Pool Noodle

Palm Washboard

Hot Water

Towel

Vinegar

Embellishment Fibers (optional)

Step 1: Watch Video

Step 2: Lay Out Fiber

Add layers of wool fiber facing opposite directions on bubble wrap.

Step 3: Add Embellishments

Step 4: Cover and Wet

Cover in mesh fabric and soak in hot soapy water. Rub lightly to form a surface skin.

Step 5: Roll

Roll the bubble wrap around a pool noodle and wrap in a towel. Roll on all sides and from all sides. Flip over and repeat

Step 6: Agitate

Use other tools such as a palm washboard to agitate more and shrink it. You can try various wet felting techniques for this. Then rinse out and soak in vinegar.
