Introduction: Whale Desk Clock

About: Former Instructables employee CHECK OUT MY WORK www.carleyjacobson.com
Call it the Clock Whale. Some years ago - never mind how long precisely - having few timepieces on my table, and nothing particular to interest me online, I thought I would put together a wooden clock that would take the place of my phone on my desk. Whenever I find myself wondering what time it is or whither my iPhone has traveled, the Clock Whale is there for me.

I made this at TechShop!!

Materials and Tools:
  • 15" x 12" x 1/4" plywood
  • Laser cutter
  • Clock mechanism - I bought a clock at the dollar store and used that clock mechanism.
  • Wood stain
  • Wood glue
STEPS
  1. Print out the file provided on a laser cutter.
  2. Once printed, stain the background.
  3. Glue the whale and splashes to the back ground.
  4. Set it up on its stand
  5. Add the clock mechanism.

Thats it!
