Introduction: White Chocolate Pomanders Aka Rum Balls
My mom always makes the typical Pomanders for Christmas. This year I helped her mix up the recipe slightly by going with White Chocolate. They were great for those in the family that prefer white chocolate over the semi-sweet chocolate that we typically use.

Step 1: Crushing Wafers & Nuts
The first step was to get the vanilla wafers and walnuts chopped up very finely. Then we mixed those two into a bowl together and placed aside.
Step 2: Mixing the Mixture
We melted the 6 oz of chocolate chips in the microwave being careful not to burn the chocolate. Then we stirred in the sugar, corn syrup, and orange flavor into the chocolate. The rum was finally added and stirred in. This mixture was poured into the crushed wafers and nuts and mixed together.
Step 3: Adding Color
We formed the mixture into 3/4" balls and rolled them in the different colored sugars. When our mixture seemed to get a little dry we added a little bit more rum. This made them even better! The pomanders were stored in sealed containers until we had company. As mom says, they are always better after a week or more!
