Introduction: Easy and Fast Wind Vane

I going to show you how to make a real working wind wane from used materials.

Supplies

1. 3 paper plates

2. Pencil with a eraser

3. Tape

4. Marker

5. Compass or a phone with a compass app

6. Scissors

7. Thumb Thack

8. Straw

9. Hair dryer (optional)

Step 1: Making the Base

Get 2 paper plates and tape them together then write North, South, West, and East like in the picture.

Step 2: Making the Top Part

Stick the pencil in the middle. Cut one inch on each side of the straw then cut a little slot on the 2 ends. Draw a arrowhead on the plate and a rectangle with your marker. Cut them out and put them in the slots. Put the thumbtack in the middle then stick it in the pencil's eraser.

Step 3: Aligning It

Get your compass or phone with a compass app and use it to align your wind vane so North goes to North, South goes to South, West goes to West, and East goes to East.

Step 4: Testing (optional)

Get your hair dryer, turn it on, and point it to the wind vane to see if it works.
