Introduction: Wooden Cross Wall Hanger

This is how to make a simple looking Christian wall hanging. :)

Step 1: Wood

Find a nice board that you like; I choose something a bit rustic.

Step 2: Cutting

Now you will need to cut the board any size that you like. Keep in mind that whatever size you cut it, it will end up being just a bit bigger when your done with it.

Step 3: Pieces

I cut the board lengthwise several times to create the slats. Most of the pieces were 1 1/2 inches, except for two, which i cut a bit smaller, and one bigger. It really doesn't have to be exact.

Step 4: Assembling

When the board is all cut up, try to assemble it. This will help you to see what more you need to cut off, and what small pieces you will need to create the cross.

Step 5: More Pieces

Some of the long boards will need to be trimmed when you put it together. Just estimate it, it really doesn't have to be exact; its supposed to look kinda rustic like that. :)

Step 6: Little Pieces

For the side of the cross, cut small pieces on a jigsaw. You can make marks with pencil where you wanna cut so that its a good size.

Step 7: Put It Together

Make sure you have all the pieces you want, and fit it together to be ready to glue.

Step 8: Glue

Use wood glue, and put it all together! Be sure to not put glue where it would be seen, like the inside of the cross. You can also use a spacer in the cross so that everything it properly spaced.

Step 9: Let It Dry

This part was harder than I expected. Place it in clamps and make sure its tight. Let it dry overnight or longer.

Step 10: Hanging It Up

I only wanted to use one hanger in the middle instead of two; So I had to find the pivot point. (Math tho😫) ;) Then nail it in place!

Step 11: The End.

And thats it! Put a nail in the wall and hang it up! :)
