Introduction: Wrap Cookies the Old Fashioned Way
When I bake cookies for family and friends, I make them special by wrapping them in an old fashioned way. I use old buttons, brown paper, burlap sacks and greenery from my yard. Wrapping with this technique almost always brings about a nostalgic reflection of grandmas home-cooking to the receiver.
Step 1: Supplies
- Box
- Brown paper bag
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue
- Old Buttons
- Burlap Sack
- Wire
- Greenery
- Craft Clothes pin
- Needle nose pliers
- Straight edge not shown
Step 2: Brown Bag
Wrap the gift box in a brown paper bag.
Cut a small strip of the burlap.
Turn under the raw edges.
Tape it to the box.

Step 3: Burlap
String the buttons on the wire.
Step 4: Greenery
Gather the greenery.
Glue the smaller buttons to the clothes pin.
Add the clothes pin to the burlap.
Add the button ring.
Attach the greenery with the jute to the burlap ribbon.

Step 5: Sunshiine's Final Thoughts
It is always fun to wrap a gift using this method. I receive many compliments from my friends and neighbors when they receive the gift. They say it brings back many memories. This brings me much joy to know that my home-baked cookies have such an impact on those that I love and appreciate.
