Introduction: Zero Waste Furniture / Bookshelf to Cat House

This is a university project that produced by interior architecture students for their own school common areas. Also it is a type of before and after process. First, students designed the furniture as a bookshelf using cardboard tubes. They assembled the parts using a type of heavy-duty rope that you can hang books on these ropes. This bookself has been used for many years. But it is not used anymore. So I wanted to redesign it for campus animals that were left alone during the lock-down.

Step 1: Disassembled the Furniture Parts

cleaned the damaged ropes and disassambled the parts.

Step 2: 3d Printed Joints

designed and painted new joints using 3d printer for assembling the parts.

Step 3: Assemble the Parts

assebled the parts using new joints.

Step 4: Meeting the New Users :)

and finally presented to new users :)
