Health is one's most important asset. We should build, plan, and share ways to get and stay healthy, and to make the most of life. That's why we've teamed up with Humana for the Health by Design Contest. Humana offers guidance to inform members, and help them achieve their best possible health.
The rules are simple. Enter any Instructable that promotes health, or that makes life easier for those who have been afflicted by sickness, injury, or any disability. Your project can be small or large, simple or complex - all that matters is that it makes someone's life healthier, happier, and more productive.
So show us how you've modded your wheelchair, built a treadmill desk, or made inexpensive prosthetics for the third world. As a prize for the best ideas out there we are giving away three Wii consoles with Wii Fit Plus to encourage both health and play. Other prizes include healthy and delicious California citrus fruit, Pro memberships, t-shirts, and other goodies.
So put together an Instructable that will make life better. We can't wait to see what it is.
You may enter as many times as you want, but each entrant can only win one prize
Contest is open to international entries
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Apr 6, 2010 and May 23, 2010 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Humana Health by Design Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
