Overview

The Mason jar has had a resurgence in popularity as of late. Gone are the days where its sole destiny was to sit on a root cellar shelf, collecting dust and protecting peach preserves. We’re seeing creative folks make all kinds of clever things with the iconic glass jar: snow globes, amps, wall-mounted storage, chandeliers, radios, terrariums, Rube Goldberg machines, and more.

Enter your canning jar projects in the Mason Jar Challenge for a chance to win an iPad Mini, a bottle cutter, a Dremel rotary tool, and a Mason Jar speaker kit. As always, we are looking for superb documentation, originality, and craftsmanship. Good luck, and don’t forget to think outside the box — er, rather, jar.

We’re happy to announce a special guest judge for this contest, Jennifer Fishkind (aka Princess Pinky Girl).  Jenn says:

Hi! I’m Jenn - a Bloomfield Hills, Michigan mother to three beautiful boys, wife to an amazing husband, social influencer and blogger. For almost 20 years I worked in the not-for-profit world, but not so long ago I took a leap of faith and decided to dedicate myself first to my family and then to my website, Princess Pinky Girl, and my Pinterest addiction (check me out, I have more than 3.5 million followers)!

Please be sure that your entry into the contest contains original photos and text. Entries without original photos and text will be denied.

Multiple entries are accepted, but each entrant can only win one prize. The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PT), December 8, 2014. Contest closes for entries at 11:59pm PT, January 5, 2015.
