Overview
The Creative Misuse Contest is about using normal objects and materials in unusual ways. If you have an ingenious use for a light bulb that does not involve illumination, we want to see it! If you have a revolutionary idea for what to do with an old pillow instead of throwing it away, we want to see that too! If you have a secret use for toothbrushes that we would never guess, then show us!
Basically, we're looking for the most ingenious misuse of objects and materials for this contest. The people who show us the most unique, creative misuses and life hacks will have the chance to win a host of awesome workshop tools. You can see the full list at the bottom of the page below the contest entries.
Create a new Instructable that fits the guidelines outlined in the contest description above. To be eligible, Instructables must be published between Jul 2, 2018 and Aug 27, 2018 (11:59pm PT).
Upon publishing your Instructable you'll see checkboxes for open contests. Select Creative Misuse Contest. If you have entries currently eligible for entry, it will also show up by clicking "Enter this Contest" on the right side of this page.
Entries are accepted by Instructables staff within one business day Monday - Friday. What matters is the submission time, not acceptance time.
A panel of judges made up of Instructables staff and respected members of the community rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings determine the winners.
When the winners are decided they will be notified and announced here on the contest page.
