Introduction: Easy Potato Cannon!
this is how to make an easy yet powerful potato cannon!
Step 1: Parts List
you will need the following:
1 2' by 2" PVC pipe
1 3" reducer (small end should be 2")
1 2' by 3" PVC pipe
1 3" female adapter
1 3" cleanout plug
some PVC cement
a drill
a hacksaw
a hot glue gun
some glue sticks for the glue gun
a sparker (preferably a coleman lantern sparker)
and some potatoes

Step 2: Cutting the Chamber
for this step, take a ruler, or something you can measure with and mark where 1 and a half feet is with a sharpie or marker, and cut using a hacksaw, sand it out if rough.
Step 3: Attaching the Reducer, Female Adapter, and Barrel
put a generous amount of PVC cement around the outside of the chamber where you will be attaching the reducer and then put another generous amount to the inside of the reducer and attach. remember! add pressure to the connection. now do the same with the other side and the female adapter. then do the same with the barrel
Step 4: Sanding Down the Front of the Barrel
this is the easiest step! (i dont have a picture) just take a piece of sandpaper and sand all around the barrel until it is sharp.
Step 5: The Hard Part: the Sparker
we use a different sparker than the one in the beginning. start by drilling a hole where you want the sparker to be with a drill that is big enough so that you can fit the sparker into the hole. then, use hot glue to secure it. next, drill a smaller hole around 4-6 inches closer to the adapter and pull the wire through. (as seen in picture 2) when you have as much of the wire as you can put through the hole, secure the hole with a generous amount of hot glue to the hole (as seen in picture 4).
then, drill another small hole near the edge of the glue at the parker and put the end of the wire through. secure with another generous amount of glue (as seen in picture 4).
finally, cut a piece of duct tape and tape over the wire outside the gun (as seen in picture 6)
