Introduction: Fix Water Damage on Most Phones
this will most likely fix water damage on phones. turn phone off as soon as dropped in water.
WARNING
THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARANTY UNLESS YOU DECIDE NOT TO OPEN PHONE!!!!!!! (less chance of getting fixed)
Step 1: Materials
materials: damprid satchet, ziploc bag, air duster 70% isopropyl alcohol or higher.
Step 2: Open Phone
if you know how to open the phone you are trying to fix, do that.
Step 3: Separate
separate logic board from phone, and don't lose screws, parts, etc.
Step 4: Alcohol
dip small cloth in isopropyl alcohol and let drops fall. carefully rub logic board with cloth and dry logic board with an electronics air duster.
Step 5: Optional But Recommended
if necessary, repeat step 4 on other components from phone.
Step 6: Damprid
open damprid packet and insert in ziploc bag, also insert logic board and other components from phone. leave in bag sealed for 24 hours minimum.
Step 7: Reassemble
reassemble phone after in bag. and try to turn phone on.

This looks like useful information, but a few extra photos in steps 1 - 7 would be great.
I've never had to fix a water damaged phone, but it's good to know there are ways to do it. Thanks!

It's better to put the phone board in rice. Rice takes humidity. You can notice that in every better restaurant there is rice in salt. Wonder ever why? :)

Sorry, but putting your phone in rice is a horrible idea. Rice only absorbs moisture that it's in contact with. If water is inside the phone and rice is on the outside, the only thing happening is a waste of time. More importantly, galvanic corrosion begins immediately after water enters the phone and rice does nothing to stop or remove the corrosion.
