Introduction: How to Become SYSTEM User on Windows
In this Instructable I am going to tell you how to become the SYSTEM user on Windows!
Note: Doesn't work on Vista!
Q: Now, what IS that SYSTEM user?
A: The SYSTEM user is the most powerful user on your computer. It can go in ALL System folders, for example.
Administrators can't.
To put it easily: the SYSTEM user can do everything on the computer! Reason: A control system doesn't make any options that can't be changed/modified/watched. The SYSTEM user is there for things that anyone else can't do!
Now to begin with the tutorial!
Step 1: First Code for CMD!
First you have to open up CMD, ant enter this:
at [current time+ 2 min.] /interactive "cmd.exe"
remove the [ and ]!
include the " in the code!
This places a new job at the time you inserted.
When your PC's clock reaches this time, the job will be set to work!
Step 2: Second Step With Task Management!
When the time has come, your cmd.exe has changed into svchost.exe!
This is the SYSTEM's Command Prompt!
When your SYSTEM, this will be your Command Prompt.
Enter Task Management.
Go to processes, and quit explorer.exe .
explorer.exe is your desktop.
When you quit it, you can't use your desktop, and it will be empty.
But don't worry, we're going to fix that right away!
Step 3: Third Step With the Last Codes!
Now go back to svchost and type: cd..
hit enter.
now type: explorer.exe
hit enter.
This opens up your desktop again!
You can now use it again (thank god).
If you can't, restart your pc.
Congratulations! You now are SYSTEM user!
Your name has also temporarily changed to SYSTEM!
If you shut down or restart your pc, everything will reset, so you still log in with your own username!
Have fun!

But. How to become SYSTEM user in windows 10?

Since you need to either be using the Administrator account, or have be a member of the Administrator local group this is of little practical purpose for the average user and I'd guess 90% of sysadmins a) already know this trick and b) know it only works on NT4, W2K and XP machines.

And on 7!
What's your point?
If you mean it doesn't make sense I posted this instuctable, go cry in a corner and scream, I made this for people who DO like it. So if you got something against this instructable, please leave.

The instructable as posted DOES NOT work under Win7, since AT no longer allows interactive processes.
C:\Windows\system32>at 07:19 /interactive "cmd.exe"
Warning: Due to security enhancements, this task will run at the time
expected but not interactively.
Use schtasks.exe utility if interactive task is required ('schtasks /?'
for details).
Added a new job with job ID = 1
You also fail to mention how much damage an inexperienced user could cause to their system; any malware they execute or pick up from the net will run as SYSTEM, FORMAT C:\ will actually format the C:\ drive etc.
Oh, I've got no problem with you posting your instructable, it's your time to waste after all, but you fail to provide an actual need for doing so beyond "look at my I'm so l33t!" script-kiddiness or to warn people of the dangers. Instead of resorting to ad hominem replies to comments you don't like try replying constructively.

... Okay, this starts to annoy the hell off me!
FIRST of all, "You also fail to mention how much damage an inexperienced user could cause to their system; any malware they execute or pick up from the net will run as SYSTEM, FORMAT C:\ will actually format the C:\ drive etc." Quoted, if this is truth, internet should be shut down because it's too dangerous/malicious. SO STOP WHINING!
SECOND, "Oh, I've got no problem with you posting your instructable, it's your time to waste after all, but you fail to provide an actual need for doing so beyond "look at my I'm so l33t!" script-kiddiness or to warn people of the dangers. Instead of resorting to ad hominem replies to comments you don't like try replying constructively." ... Seriously man, WTF? Are you kidding me? ... You should better just bother someone else if I where you... I mean, what is wrong with sharing some cool stuff I found with surfing ppl?
LAST, I'd like to ask you, how old are you? Couldn't be too much, considering the 'LOOK AT ME RAEGING AT YUO RWARGH' stuff.
Like to see your response!

"if this is truth, internet should be shut down because it's too dangerous/malicious. SO STOP WHINING!"
Really? That's your response to me pointing out that a "use at your own risk" warning would have been a good idea?
"Seriously man, WTF? Are you kidding me? ... You should better just bother someone else if I where you... I mean, what is wrong with sharing some cool stuff I found with surfing ppl?

As I said above, I've got no problem with you sharing your knowledge. You however appear to have issues with people pointing out that there a few issues with your 'ible as posted. Out of the 10 comments you've posted so far 6 are "RAEGING" at other people, 2 are incorrect and only 1 comes anywhere close to offering any real information.
As to my age.....well, I dont see that it has any relevance to this 'ible so lets just say that I'm old enough to have supported and been certified in pretty much every MS product from DOS6.22 and W3.11.

There is one use, on computers with more than one login, you can view their documents even if it is password-protected!

DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING AS SYSTEM!
if you get a virus, it will have 100% control over your system, and can completely destroy it or worse in a millisecond. no system restore, no manual boot, it can just completely delete the boot files, making it so the only way to make your computer usable is to remove the hard drive, reformat it on another computer, then put it back in, and your still will still be lost.

I thought not. Did you actually try this properly?
L
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
Tried on XP, Vista and 7.
XP works best at my opinion.
On 7 the sidebar disappears.
On Vista interactive commands aren't allowed.
That's all.
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
That was XP - did you actually try it with a restricted-account? (I did)
L
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
Uhm... If you mean it's impossible on a restricted account, yes. But I recommend Admins to do this only. And if you're not, hack the password with ophcrack.
Anyways, why you asking this?
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
You "recommend Admins to do this only".
What useful things can you do with it? (it sounded like some sort of hack)
L
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
... Uhh, sorry, but it's obvious that this is a hack. ... Well atleast, I thought...
But yes, this is a hack.
If your unfamiliar with hacking, please leave this instructable. It's not really for amateurs...
Reply 12 years ago on Introduction
First this is not hacking this is cracking because you are not accessing data you are manipulating it.
Second no person can be considered a hacker unless they complete the elementary task making 2 folders in the same directory, one named "PRN" and the other named "AUX", therefore pics or it didn't happen.
Prove Yourself
