How to Grow Pineapple

hi guys this is my first instructable so go easy on the comments. so as you can see i have already started growing pineapples and if your a gardener who wants to grow pineapples youve come to the right place

what you need:
a pot
a pineapple
a cup of water
a knive
hands
fertilizer

Step 1: Cut the Pineapple

take the pineapple and cut it like below.     but keep the crown and you can put the rest in the fridge

Step 2: Peel a Little Bit of the Leaves

peel some of the crown leaves off but not too much, gust make it show.
but remember to peel the first sets of leaves

Step 3: Put the Pineapple Crown in Water

now put the pineapplein some water BUT MAKE SURE THAT THE TIPS OF ANY LEAVE DOES NOT TOUCH THE WATER OK. it should look something like the one in the picture. now leave it in the sun for 2 to 3 weeks (until you see roots growing.)

Step 4:

now put some soil and ONLY A LITTLE FERTILIZER PINEAPPLES HATE TOO MUCH FERTILIZER IN THE SOIL. then put your pineapplein the soil but make sure it is standing and not leaning on its side.

and after 2 or 3 years your pineapple would have grown up.

Step 5: TIPS

here are some tips

if you see  your pineapples leaves go purple put it in more sun and give it water

in the first few weeks in the soil your pineapple will depend on its leaves so water in leaves first(head to toes)
