in this instructable, i will show you how to make a bat kill/stun/catch bats as sen on man vs wild with bear grylls.

Step 1: Frame

for your bat catcher's frame, you will need to cut a y shaped stick about 80cm high.

Step 2: Start the Netting

using a suitable vine, or a rope, tie a clove hitch on the top left "corner" of the y.

Step 3: Continuing the Netting

continue to wrap the vine or rope towards the junction. it may be necessary to cut notches in the y to stop the rope from slipping down the stick.

Step 4: Start Weaving the Net

to start weaving the net, make a turn around one fork and weave overunder until the whole net is complete.

Step 5: Finishing

to finish the bat net, tie a clove hitch around either of the two top sticks of the y

Step 6: How to Catch/kill/stun the Bats

to get the bats, smoke the cave out with a torch or burning rubber or some other form of smoke. wait outside the cave and get ready to hit the bats as they fly out.
