hello this will show u how to make a spark gap tesla coil (sgtc)

Step 1: WARNING

First I would like to warn you about the potential dangers of high voltage 15Kv at 30ma I have been shocked at 30Kv at 25ma and
i tell you it hurts.

Step 2: The Items

you will need: a neon sign transformer a few pieces of high voltage cable a load of magnet wire plus many other objects that i will later mention in this instructable.

Step 3: Yey We Are Actually Going to Make It

First take a look at your NST it will either be mid point gronded or end point gronded now get hold of the high voltage wire connect
one piece of it to the big ceramic insulators on the ends and connect it to the capacitor DO NOT use electrolytic capacitors they
explode and it is kinda funny but not always oh and remember only connect it to one pin.Next connect the other pin to the primary
coil connect the ground of the primary to the ground of the transfomer.

Step 4: Spark Gap

now u need to make the spark gap it is pretty simple to do but u might need to tune it by making the gap bigger

Step 5: Umm

it took me all evening to make this for all u guys so thats how much i respect u thanks christian.

Step 6: MOT Scematic

here is a rectified current version of the schematic it is used when you use a microwave oven transformer scince they are NOT
current limited so u will draw too much current and the MOT will melt.
