10 STEPS TO MAKE FASHION JEWELRY FROM BOTTLE CAPS

Step 1: MATERIALS & TOOLS

MATERIALS

1. Washed / Clean Bottle Caps (HDPE)

2. String / small ropes

3. Small chains for earrings

4. Eyelet

5. Heavy metal objects (around 2kg) that can be put inside the oven

6. 2 Oven tray (around the same size)

TOOLS

1. Toaster / oven

2. Hammer

3. Hole puncher

4. Eyelet pliers

5. Heat gun (if needed)

Step 2: STEP 1

Pre- heat your toaster / oven for about 1 or 2 minutes.

Step 3: STEP 2

Set your bottle caps on top of the tray into the shape that you want. (You can use different colours too)

For examples :

On top of your bottle caps, put another tray filled with the heavy metal objects for around 2kg on top of the second tray. It should look like this.

Step 5: Step 4 & 5

STEP 4

Put the tray carefully inside the oven so that the bottle caps did’nt move around. Be careful, the oven is already hot

STEP 5

Heat the oven to 170 degrees for 15 minutes.
And now we wait...

Step 6: STEP 6

After 15 minutes, took out the tray (careful, it’s very hot!). The bottle caps should be melted and it will look like this.

Step 7: STEP 7

Now, you can turn the bottle caps into JEWELRY! :) First, you need to make a hole using a hole puncher to the bottle caps.

Step 8: STEP 8

Second, you have to at the eyelet using the eyelet plier, if you are not strong enough, you can hammer it down.

Step 9: STEP 9

Finally, you just had to tie it if you want to make a necklace or bracelet, or you can add the chain to make earrings. (You can also use heat gun to bend it a little bit)

Step 10: STEP 10

DONE!! Go wear it and make a fashion statement!! :)
