You can use your iPhone device for both personal communications as well as for official purposes. Many a times you get some important information via SMS that you need to preserve for further usage. The best way to preserve it is to take a print of the SMS. The most convenient way to print iPhone conversations or iPhone SMS is to take a screen shot of the SMS and then use any wireless iOS compatible printer to take the print. However in the absence of the iOS compatible printer the best way to accomplish the task is to install the iPhone SMS Transfer Software on your computer device and complete the printing task with ease. Following is the step by step procedure on how to take the SMS print on your computer.

Step 1: Download the IPhone SMS Transfer Software and Install It to the PC Device

To print iPhone SMS you will need to download and install the iPhone SMS Transfer Software on your computer system. Step 2: Connect the IPhone to the Computer and Launch the Program

After the installation of the Software, connect your iPhone to a computer using a USB cable and launch the software on your computer system. This program will display all your iPhone SMS automatically.

Step 3: To Create a Copy SMS From Any Single Contact

Click on the required contact to select all SMS records sent to and received from that contact. Now, click the “Copy” button and then choose MHT or HTML as the file format. These formats can be used for taking print out later. Select the file path where you want to save the iPhone SMS file and then click on the “OK” button. You can also copy any selected SMS from the iPhone.

Step 4: Take Print Out of the IPhone Text Messages

(a). Open the MHT or HTML file in the internet explorer for taking the print out:

At first right click on .mht or .html file and open it in the Internet Explorer or any other browser like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Now go to "tools" menu- select print and click on the “Print” button or press CTRL+P. This will allow you to take the print out of the SMS as it appears on the iPhone screen.

In order to take print out of all messages of any particular contact, at first click on the contact name and then click on the "Print" button.

Step 5: Send IPhone Text Messages to Your Email Account and Take Print

Sending an Email of the SMS to your own Email account is the easiest way to take a print out. At first select the SMS you wish to print and then tap on the message and keep it pressed for a few second continuously. Now tap on the Copy button for copying the text message on the clipboard. After copying, open the Mail app on your iPhone and enter your email id in the address bar. Select the text message in the clipboard and the in the email body click on the paste option to place the message in your email. Now tap on send button and open your email account on the PC device and print the SMS. However, this will eliminate the time and date of SMS receipt info.

Note: If you choose copy and email your text message to your email account, you might lose all the date/time information.

Step 6: Saving a Screenshot of Your Text Conversation

It is also very convenient method to take the screenshot of the SMS and then take the print. For this you first need to open the particular message. Now press and release the home button along with the Sleep/Wake button at the same time. The action completion of taking the screenshot is completed when you hear the click sound. Now you can email this screenshot to yourself or print it via Air Print compatible printer as mentioned in the next step.


Note: If you want to print a long text conversation on your iPhone then you have to take multiple screenshots to capture the whole conversation.

Step 7: AirPrint Your SMS Screenshots

Once you are done with the screenshot saving action on the iPhone, you can take a print out from an AirPrint printer. At first tap on the “Settings” and after that on the “WiFi” to connect to the wireless router used by the AirPrint. Now keep the WiFi switch in On mode by sliding it. Tapping on the selected network followed by enter key to open it. You may require entering a password. Now press the Home button to reach the main menu and then tap on the Photos. Now select the screenshot of the SMS you need to take a print and tap on the Share button. After selecting the Print button choose the option Air Print cable printer and then tap on the Print button. The print action will resume on the printer after some time.
