Andy Android

I bought one of the first Android OS phones, the G1. The logo for Android OS is a green android who I thought was very cute. I decided that everyone needs their own cuddly android and so I made Andy.

Andy was crocheted with worsted weight yarn and was free-handedly designed. I did base his head on the lionbrand octopus pattern www.lionbrand.com/patterns/81095AD.html, but everything else was done freely. His body, arms and legs are all basically tubes of differing widths and lengths. His legs are sewn on, but his head and arms are attached with teddy bear joints so they can freely rotate.

I then took Andy to some interesting places with me and my children. He's been on an airplane, to England, he's been in castles and met some interesting characters.

Please meet Andy and enjoy his travels...
