Introduction: Arduino Gamepad

This is a Arduino Gamepad made at home. Most of them are recycled.

Step 1: You Will Need:

- An Arduino Leonardo/ Micro board

- A variable resistor

- 2 4.7K resistors and 10 10K resistors

- 13 buttons or more

- wires

- 4 useless CDs

- some jacks

- wood and polystyrene

- a PC with Arduino 1.6.6 (or above)

Step 2: Install Arduino Joystick Library

First download this: ArduinoJoystickLibrary

Now open Arduino app and click: Sketch > Include Library > Add .ZIP Library...

Select Joystick folder, you already downloaded. That's it!

Step 3: Steering Wheel

As variable resistor I use a 100K resistor.

I paste 4 CDs to be like an steering wheel.

First pin go to 5V, middle to A0 and the last one to GND.

Step 4: Control Buttons

These are 3 fully assignable buttons.

I conected to A5 using 2 4.7K resistors.

Step 5: Pedals

I used some pieces from an old Cd-Rom to make those hinges.

Step 6: Shifter

Step 7: Programme Arduino

Step 8: Test

For Connected wires to Arduino I used a Prototyping Shiel.

A very good game for this gamepad is Euro Truck Simulator 2.
