Introduction: Beer Can Ash Tray(very Easy)

About: Hello! my name is Ampontan Pokan. I'm Japanese but living in Canada now. LOVE creating variety of things with hands. Although I'm not good at using machines like computer, still very interested in what people…

This ash tray is very easy to make. It takes only about 10 minutes and you can make this anywhere. When you are board, have an empty beer can and scissors, Why don't you make this and surprise your friends!

Step 1: You Need...

• Scissors
• Empty beer can (rinsed inside and dried)

Better if you have.
• Can opener
• Colore tape

Step 2: Remove Top Part

With can opener and scissors.
Punch a small hole with can opener and switch to scissors to cut off.
If you only use scissors, need little bit more power and just be careful not to cut yourself with edge.

Step 3: Decide Depth of Your Ash Tray

I use painter's tape to mark the depth. It's easy if you use the bar code's line to put the tape straight.

Step 4: Cut!

Cut the beer can from top to the point you marked (like in the picture).
I don't usually measure the width but the narrower you cut, the better it looks.
Also, cut them as even as possible.
AGAIN, BE CAREFUL NOT TO CUT YOURSELF WITH EDGE.

Step 5: Fold Them!

Fold all of them like in this picture.
Take one, skip next two, insert from front.

Step 6: Keep Folding....

Step 7: Done! But There're Lots of Holes...

little bit more to go.
Let's see how to cover these holes at next step.

Step 8: Cover These Holes

Flip over the ash tray, fold all tips to cover the holes like in this picture.
Make sure to adjust the length to make it round.

Step 9: Remove the Tape.

Step 10: Back

Step 11: Front
