What is it with people and their incessant need to capitalize the first letter of EVERY word? And I hate to say it, but this isn't an instructable, it's more of the manual for BindWrite...

Sorry but if you wanted to copy a ps2 game this wouldn't work.Because sony presses their disk with code in some areas that make it boot probably.

Almost every court decision to come down the pipe, since VHS vs. Betamax has upheld the right to copy, for archival purposes, software and media, for private use. In fact, current federal law states that you even have the right to circumvent copy protection, if the media is no longer easily accessed or replaced. aka, you can legally bypass hack, or whatever you need to, to remove Macrovision from your beta tapes, and your laserdiscs... The trick to more modern media, like games and ,usic is, you are legally allowed to back it up, but NOT legally allowed to hack the copyprotection...... funny people, aren't they! In effect, you can use this to back up your discs, with little to no legal risks... but if you share with friends, bittorrent it, or upload to any website, prepare for a criminal case(not for sure, but best to be prepared) Mod chips/softmods WILL be needed to play these backups... and they also may or may not be illegal.... I'd be interested to hear if it will indeed backup blue-ray stuff. Also, since "for informatinal purposes" protects you pretty well, when posting in instructables, go ahead and get a current copy, re-write the instructable for IT, and post it ;-) Especially if the version you use is no longer available, it doesn't do us much good to learn how to use it. ;-9

As any faitful reader knows, I'm one of the first on the scene to say "ILLEGAL--Delete it". But, in this case I'll say "ILLEGAL if you share the copy you make". Making a copy for backup purposes is perfectly legal. The legal issues aside, it is a very poorly written instructable.
