Carshalton Bridge Jubilee Yarnbombing

Carshalton Ponds ( Carshalton -Surrey) is  the scene of suspected guerrilla activity . Driving  past the Ponds very early, the bridge displayed a small army of blue/white/red ducks . . Each duck is knitted and part of a long knitted ribbon decorating the railings on the bridge. The duck squad seems to be led by a tiny figure called 'Wanda' in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee.

The originality and the FUN of this idea must have stemmed from a group of local ' knit wits'  - " the Woolly Coven of Carshalton" ???
