Introduction: Cellophane Flowers

This is a quick and fun project that can be used to recycle old cellophane from chocolate wrappers or gift wrapping, and can be made with simple materials that may be found lying around the house, like toothpicks.

These flowers are a simple decoration that can be used for multiple occasions and will be a fun project to do with kids

Step 1: Materials

- Cellophane (I recycled the cellophane from old chocolate wrappers)

- Hot glue gun

- Scissors

- Toothpicks

Step 2: Make the Flower

Cut a small rectangular piece of cellophane

Pinch it in the centre, so that you get a flower shape as shown above

Step 3: Glue the Flower to a Stem

Place a toothpick against the pinched centre

Glue the toothpick to the flower with the glue gun

Kids - get an adult to help - this glue gets hot!

Step 4: Decorative Touches

Cut a strip of yellow cellophane and roll it into a bowl

Place a dot of hot glue in the centre of the flower and place the ball of yellow cellophane on top of it

Step 5: Finished Product
