Chap Stick Cannon

I used to make these all the time as a kid, so why not preserve something for my posterity??

Tools Needed:

• Screwdriver
• Needle nose pliers
• Empty Chap Stick tube

Step 1: Remove the End

• Use a screwdriver to remove the twisting end of the chap stick.
• Pull it out but make sure it has disconnected from the sliding tray inside the tube.

Step 2: Crimp It Real Good!

• Use some needle nose pliers to crimp down the clips on the inside.

Doing this prevents the plunge from getting stuck, eliminating the need to pull it back out with the screwdriver.

Step 3: Reattach the Plunge

• Reattach the plunge to the sliding tray just enough for the threads to catch.
• Retract the plunge
• Put the cap on
• and fire!!

Mine will shoot about 15-20 ft depending on how hard you hit the plunge, and it will make a nice little pop sound.

There you have it, a fun little toy that kids will love.
