Introduction: DIY Parchment Paper Baking Cups

About: Everything I make is done with love and imperfection.

We were having a birthday celebration this weekend and had been to three different stores in Whitehorse for ingredients. In the midst of making dessert, we realized that we didn't have the baking cups we need to complete our dish!

Going to the store again was unappealing, plus we had to have the cups quickly to finish dessert. This quick and simple fix saved the night (and the dessert!)

All you need to make these easy cups is:

  • Parchment paper
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Muffin tray
  • Cylinder shape the same circumference as the inside of your muffin cups

Step 1: Cut Papers

Cut 12 five by five inch squares of parchment paper.

Step 2: Shape

Place a piece of parchment paper over a muffin cup and squish it into the cup using your bottle.

Pull the paper and the bottle out and shape the paper more securely around the bottle.

Place the paper back into the muffin cup.

That's all you need to do - now just add your dessert mixture!

Step 3: Serve

Our mini key lime pies were a bit hit, and the parchment paper cups added a nice bit of flair to the dish.
