Follow the easy steps below or watch the short video tutorial or do both. :)
Step 1: Ingredients and Tools
- 4 to 5 medium ripe avocados
- 1/2 medium white onion
- 3 to 4 Tbsp of minced fresh cilantro
- 1 tsp. of salt (5g)
- 1/8 tsp. of pepper (pinch)
- 1/2 tsp. of garlic powder (2g)
- 1 to 2 limes (start with half of a lime, you can always add more later)
Step 2: Cut the Avocado
First let's prep our avocados. The way I do it, is I cut around it with a knife, twist, and pull each half apart. Then I use my knife on the pit, to get the pit out. Next I slice into each half making a checker pattern, then use a spoon to scoop it out. It is important to use ripe soft avocados. Save the pits! :) You can put the pits in the guacamole to help it from turning brown longer. :)
Step 3: Mix and Stir
Now let's mix in the rest of our ingredients, except for the lime. We will add that last. Use a spoon to mix the ingredients together.
Step 4: Lime It Up!
Now we add in our lime. You can start with half of a lime first if you like, and see what kind of flavor you get. The lime will add some flavor as well as help keep the avocado from turning brown. Next use a fork to further blend everything together. You can leave it chunky or make it more smooth if you like. Add more salt, pepper, and garlic powder as needed. :) There you go, easy amazing guacamole! :) Enjoy!
