This is my first project puplished on here. I really enjoy simple, cheap but effetive solutions for my projects. That said I'd like to start with this really easy one. It only uses hand tools and is made from wood profiles you can get at most hardware stores (at least here in Germany). Cost for the hardware is about 10€. It can clamp several pages together and store small accessories or lightweight books on top.

Supplies

For the wood profiles I got:

2x pine pofile 22x22mm-1m(here for Germany)
1x pine profile 30x30mm-1m(here for Germany)
1x beech smooth rod 8mm-1m (here for Germany)

But you can get any sizes that fit together as shown below and choose your own lenght. Only you should use a dense wood for the rod.

Additional supplies/ tools are:

wood glue
masking tape (or any other tape)
any handsaw with miter box (or powered saw)
ruler and pencil
double sided tape or mounting hardware and drill (depends on type of wall mount)

Step 1: Step 1: Preparing the Profiles

First you glue the two small profiles as seen on the pictures. I used the masking tape to hold them in place for curing. Once cured you remove the masking tape and glue on the larger Profile as shown. This time I secured it with some weights.

Step 2: Step 2: Preparing the Clamping Rod

While the glue joint cures you can prepare the clamping rod. It needs to be cut in small pieces. Mine where 3cm - just needs to be smaller than the notes you want to clamp in later. Therefore I clamped a excess piece as endstop to my miter box. Of course you can use any powered saw here. Afterwards I slightly sanded the edges.

Step 3: Step 3: Assembly

After removing the Masking tape from the profile assembly you easily slide all the small rod pieces into the profiles - they should have some play for allowing paper to get in.

Step 4: Step 4: Wall Mounting

For this build I choose mounting with double sided tape since I don't want to drill the tiles in my shop. You can also mount by using two screws on the ends as I did earlier. In this case you just cut off a small piece from two of the profiles (have a look on the pictures).

Now you build yourself a cheap and sustainable note clamping rail with space for small accessories on top.
