Easy Monopod (Monópode Fácil)

About: I am leaving Instructables, soon. I am very upset with the turnaround that has the page to post the manufacture of a dildo. Me llamo Osvaldo Julio Schiavoni I speak Spanish, not English. I use automatic tr...

Ah, me olvidaba.

I always had the problem that for photos and videos to Instructables I lacked a tripod or something to hold the camera while I worked. Yesterday I decided to try to fix the problem, and built this articulated bracket that will be useful to show some things. It is made of aluminum pipe that is used for hanging curtains, 12 mm outer diameter.  It is so easy to do that if the pipe used were to be weak, I will make another with iron pipe. But for now it seems that endures its work.

As always , I used materials I had stored in the attic of my shop. All I had to buy were the screws, wing nuts and washers.

The instructions are in the notes to the pictures. It is very easy to do, is lightweight and foldable.
The design supports many variants, redesign it at your convenience: more links, links longer, thicker pipe, clamps instead of binder clip, etc..

Oh, I forgot . The word "monópode" is not registered by the Royal Spanish Academy, but it exists.  I'm not sure this is really a monopod because it does not step the ground, but I like that name.

    Clever as always Sir Osvaldo!

My workspace table is near the window grills and tripods can sometimes be too robust. Great idea! I can now save more working space for documenting projects.

Casimiro, just now I see your kind comment. There are some problems in the notification system of Instructables.

    Thanks for commenting.
