Introduction: Electronic Rubber Band Shooter

This is a electronic rubber band shooter using a littleBits kit.

Step 1: Parts Needed

You will need:

  • A block of wood [about 2 1/2 by 8 inches long]
  • Double sided foam tape and scissors
  • Rubber bands
  • littleBits parts (http://littlebits.cc)
    • Power module
    • Button module
    • Servo module
    • Servo motor
    • Battery

Step 2: Build the Circuit

Connect the power to the button module and then to the servo module.

Test that the servo operates when you press the button.

Step 3: Attach Servo Motor to Wood

Cut a piece of double-sided foam tape and place on end of wood. Then attach the servo motor as shown.

Step 4: Attach Circuit and Battery to the Wood Piece

Attach circuit with rubber bands to wood. Make sure all modules are secure.

Put double-sided foam tape on the battery and attach it to the other side of the wood.

Step 5: Load Rubber Band and Shoot!

Load rubber band by stretching it from one end of the wood to the servo motor attachment.

Aim and then press button when ready to shoot.
