Exploding Ammo for Pellet Gun!

This is just a short instructable on how to have more fun with your pellet gun... assuming you haven't already enjoyed the fun of blinding yourself. (This is my first instructable Don't harrass :)

good luck. I'm gonna add some pictures for sure just can't take them now (its nighttime) and maybe also a video if you find it hard to follow :)

Step 1: Ammuntion Type 1

The First type of ammuntion, The allstrike match!
Make sure its allstrike otherwise it won't work. You can tell its allstrike by the white tip :)

now take your Pellet/BB gun and cock it but don't put the match in yet... put it in the tip of the gun with the end of the match facing outwards and make sure it hits the bottom which it should with a .177 cal. gun which most pellet/BB's are nowadays. Once your sure its hit the bottom find your target, prefferabley concrete or cement. make sure the tip of the gun isn't on to low of an angle down or the match will slide out. Don't fire yet! Make sure your aiming straight on at a 90 degree angle to maxamize the effect(explosion) cause if your at an angle it may not light or may just fizzle instead of pop(also your range is only about 3 metres because otherwise it twists and twirls and doesn't have enough force to explode). Now go ahead and fire and giggle as you see the effects.

This is entertaining for a little while but eventually you get bored of the occasional *pop* and want something more. Thats where the next type of Ammunition comes in...

Step 2: The Bigger Bang

This is much more effective and very entertaining... kept me going for a while

The CAP!

hopefully you know what a cap is if you do good. Your going to want to get the little red ones in the 8 round rolls not the strip kind.

This type of ammo only works for pellet guns, maybe some BB guns though i could be wrong.

Take your roll of 8 caps and start breaking them off(i do believe they are sold in single shots to for those lame little darts you stick a cap on and throw at the ground) and once you've broken them all apart cock your gun and instead of putting a pullet in put in the cap making sure that the end with the hole goes in first. Now find your target (yet again you only have about 3 metres range seeing as it loses power and just drops to the ground if its farther) and this will explode on much more things than just concrete. Such as windows although i do not recommend this. Now shoot! and hear that very entertaining explosion!

sometimes it may just make a little poof but it still sparks which is still entertaining. When you do get an exploding one (about 80-90% of the time it does) you'll be amazed at how loud it is, i was to and just to let you know i figured this out today so its fresh in my mind and i'm psyched to find out what cool things i can do with it tomorrow!

Step 3: Possibilities

There are many things you can do with your exploding ammo and i'm mainly talking about the Caps.

You can start a fire by piling some wood, paper and tinder, pouring some gasoline on it then shooting it(very dangerous, don't recommend it. You've been warned!). I have yet to try this myself though.

The most obvious one is just shooting it at walls and different objects seeing what works and what doesn't.

Shooting it into a pop can with many holes in it(from target practice ;) and watching the flash of light.
