Hello everyone. This is my first instructable on mechanical build and I am going to show you how to make best use of a pendrive ( flash drive in my case) which wasn't being detected on your phone or pc. So stay tuned.!

Step 1: Getting the Materials

You'll Need,

1)Scissors

2)Any strong Adhesive ( I used a rubber based as it was available at the moment)

3)Pliers of any sort

and obviously,

4)A few usb ports ( because in case if you rip up a few, you'll have spare)

Step 2: Check Your Usb Flash Drive

Do check your Flash drive before experimenting on it, as mine wasn't functioning properly due to excess spacing between the female port and usb drive of my laptop. Measure the length of the connector and cut the port to required length. Remove the internal connector as you won't be needing it anymore. Only the metal part of it is necessary.

Step 3: Getting Things Together!

Now take the adhesive and apply it on the rear side of the flash drive as well as the Usb port and affix them firmly. It might take about 15 min to dry completely ( in my case). Alas.... its Done! now go check your drive.

NOTE: I had destroyed 2 of my usb ports while cutting them to the required length, so be wise don't not waste them.

Step 4: ENJOY!

Needless to say that it works like a charm!

AnyWays, Thanks for Reading!

I hope you liked my idea of using the usb port as a placement for this flash drive.

Post Plans:

I have plans of making a case for this pendrive to make it look decent (atleast it works great)

So until then, stay tuned!
