I was offered a trip to Boston for I needed an escape from my current situation and without a reflex I turned to old behaviors and packed a bag.
In a few short hours I was on a bus and quickly put aside from my troubles as they past mile by mile.
Man did I need this trip, and what a trip it was!
Step 1: Ingredients
I did prepare for this but with any voyage, the barrels do run low. Fortunately I was in the state where everything is bigger, especially when you break bread.
My fellow gentleman traveler was well versed in the arts of a good spread and together we had:
1 pack Chow Mein Stir Fry Noodles, left over bean dip, 1/2 bag of nacho chips, 2 nacho cheese packs, water, some vegetable bags, and Sriracha to taste.
My fine Tex-Mex friend just had a stiff question, "What's with the pictures?"
I was suddenly enlightened to explain, "If guys like us don't change those learned behaviors all we are going to do is help recidivism while we sit wishing, wanting, and waiting (jj) over and over again and again. This is my own rehabilitation program and everybody is welcome to check it out."
"OK, just don't put too much water in."
Step 2: Chow Mein Noodles
While in the package, I mashed up the noodles taking care to still keeping the packaging intact for future use.
I doubled up 2 plastic bags from the produce department.
Step 3: Nacho Cheese Chips
Placing the noodles in the doubled up bag, I then prepared the chips in the same fashion and then placed in bag as well.
Step 4: Bean Dip
Yep, you guessed it, the beans go directly in the bag minus the can and lid.
Step 5: Nacho Cheese
Do take precaution with Nacho Cheese for it has priors for explosive results. I was worried BUT this was not the case.
Step 6: The Water
Regardless, dude made a good call. I'm no good at calling the water ratio or maybe I'm just starving and don't care when I eat this stuff. Whatever the case may be, this cat hit the nail on moisture content. Just do it slow because you can always add more.
Give the bag a spin, mush it all together, and let it "cook". By cook is, letting it set until it evenly absorbs the water throughout the spread.
Step 7: Consumption
Due to a flat tire, my fine Texan traveler and myself soon parted ways because of rescheduled travel plans.
I repackaged some in the original Chow Mein container (at my attempt at civility, domestication, or normality) BUT that soon got back to normal having to board a new bus on the fly and eat as shown in the 2nd photo.
The 3rd photo, that is the normal way of distribution and consumption in most local, state, and federal establishments using mostly good old Keefe to do the shopping.
Step 8: Did I Make It?
What do you think?
It's been a couple months since my hose burned down and it was the best thing that could have came from the decisions I had made.
