How To Make Hot Glue Gun Shoes

Hi, I’m Danielle, and in this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to make hot glue slippers, with nothing but hot glue! Lets get started!

The things you will need are:

-hot glue gun

-lots of hot glue sticks, they can be coloured, or after you can paint your slippers

-cardboard

-wax paper

-scissors

-a plug in from the wall

-pencil

Step 1: Step #1: Starting the Base

Step #1: Starting the base

First, plug in your hot glue gun in a plug on the wall, and let it sit for 5 minutes so it is warmed up. Otherwise there will be little hot glue, and it won’t stick properly. After ready, grab some cardboard and put your right foot on it. Then, using a pencil trace your foot onto the cardboard, and then cut out using scissors. Using some wax paper, place the cardboard foot on it, and trace it again. Then, take the cardboard foot off, and trace the pencil outline using your hot glue gun. Then, make x patterns on your foot. Its like how you draw an ice cream cone pattern.

Step 2: Step #2: Making the Slipper or Sandals

For this part, you can do 2 ways. You can either make a slipper, or make a sandal. For sandals, make a long rectangle with you pencil on the wax paper. Repeat tracing the outside, and making the cone patterns on the inside. Once dry, carefully remove the rectangle without ripping. To make a slipper, get your glue foot, and trace 2 cm away from your foot, above the foot bone, on your foot. And do this all on a piece of wax paper. Take you foot away, and then do the tracing and cone pattern.

For the slipper, grab the 2 pieces of it, the top and bottom part. For the sandal, grab the 2 parts, the long rectangle and the other glue foot. Make sure you still have your glue gun plugged in. If not, just plug it in and wait a little bit before using. For the slipper, put some glue on all the edges, except the flat edge that you put your foot in. Gently place the part on your foot, and hold it until it drys. For the sandal, using your hot glue gun, put some glue on the small edges of your long rectangle you made. The put the that on your glue foot, around the center of the foot. Then you choose what style you like, and do the other foot. Then, tada!!! There you have it. Your own home made hot glue shoe!
