Introduction: How to Rip DVD/Blu-ray to Seagate Central, Personal Cloud, Wireless Plus, and Other Drives.

It’s convenient and cool to store, organize, stream, and share your digital media files (movies, music, and photos) using Seagate drives like the Seagate Central, Personal Cloud/Personal Cloud 2 Bay, Wireless Plus/Wireless Mobile Storage, Dockstar, GoFlex Home/GoFlex Net, etc. If you have a Seagate drive and your movies are still on the physical DVD/Blu-ray discs, why not convert your movie DVDs/Blu-rays to digital videos and move to your Seagate drive? Here’s how:

Step 1: Download a Solid DVD/Blu-ray to Seagate Drive Ripping Program

Go to DVD0101.com, download and install a program named Pavtube ByteCopy. This program can bypass virtually all types of DRM protections and region locks used on DVD and Blu-ray discs, and convert/compress DVDs/Blu-rays to digital video wrapped in various container formats including MP4, MKV, AVI, WMV, MOV, etc. Also it allows you to copy your DVD/Blu-ray movies from discs onto your hard drive as DVD/Blu-ray folders, but unfortunately it doesn’t support ISO output. If you need to rip your DVDs to ISO image files for your Seagate home media storage device, a great freeware named BDlot DVD ISO Masterwill help. Note, the Pavtube ByteCopy is trialware, not freeware, and if you are satisfied with the trial version’s performance, you will have to pay $42 to access the full feature.

Step 2: Load Your DVD/Blu-ray

Click on the “Load file(s)” button, and select your computer optical drive to load the DVD/Blu-ray you already insert into it.

Step 3: Determine the Format in Which the Output Digital Video Will Be Produced

You have four options: a) converting only one video stream/audio stream/subtitle stream of the source DVD/Blu-ray to MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, ASF, MPG, and other common video containers; b) converting multiple video streams/audio streams/subtitle streams of the source DVD/Blu-ray to multi-track video containers including MKV, MP4, AVI, and MOV; c) converting the source DVD/Blu-ray to optimized presets for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android devices, HD media players, etc.; d) copying the source DVD/Blu-ray to local hard drive as DVD folder/Blu-ray folder.

Step 4: Start to Rip and Convert Your DVD/Blu-ray

Select the output file path by clicking the “Browse” button, and then click the “Convert” button to begin ripping and converting your movie DVD/Blu-ray.

Once the ripping and converting task completes, move the resulting digital video file to your Seagate drive. Done!
