Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures.

In this instructable I will demonstrate how something so simple can become something amazing.

Origami is a great way to rid of unwanted paper and use it in a safe way that doesn't harm the environment.

Step 1: Materials:

Materials:
• Any form of large thin paper. Ex: Newspaper, Wrapping paper, Printer paper
• YouTube
• Patience
• Scissors

Step 2: Making a Square.

In origami, squares are the primary foundation to creating amazing decorative shapes and figures.

In this step you will cut out a square(any dimension) out of your preferred material.

In my case, I will be using unwanted spiderman wrapping paper(Winter edition).

Use your pair of scissors to precisely cut out a square. If needed, use a ruler to measure the length and height of the square.

Step 3: The Square.

Once you have made your square, you can begin to shape the paper to whatever shape you please using a series of folds that will lead to an amazing end result.

Step 4: The Steps

Because making an Origami rose has no simple steps, I encourage you to watch and follow along with the video.

Remember that making complex origami requires great patience. When following along don't get frustrated and don't give up.
