This year chinese new year is the same day as valentines day. With valentines day attracting a lot of attention, some people accidentally forget (or don't care) about chinese new year. Here are some easy two minute decorations you can make to celebrate the year of the tiger!

Step 1: Supplies

3 red envelopes (can be found at most banks around this time, or a store)
Scissors
Glue
Staples
String

Step 2: Traditional Lantern

First fold one of the red envelopes in half lengthwise. Then, while folded, cut slits down the envelope.(refer to pic)  unfold and curl the envelope around and staple the two ends together.

Step 3: Alternate Lantern

This is basically the same as the first one, however you staple opposite corners together.

Step 4: Fish

This one is slightly more complicated then the first two, but still not that difficult. First, you need to make a square, so you take the side opposite the opening and fold as shown in the pic below. Then you cut out the triangle side. unfold the triangle and cut the envelope like the pictures below.

Step 5: Done

You are done. If you wish, you can string them and hand them up.
