METRO MANIA(Paper Craft)

MAKE A EASY METRO TRAIN AND STATION USING PAPER.

THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL IS VERY SIMPLE.

EVEN A PERSON WHO DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PAPER CRAFT CAN DO THIS.

MOTIVATION

* Metro train in chennai(my place) is a great milestone.. it eases the transportation to places

*Whenever we go in these luxurious metro trains.. we must think of the workers who worked day and night... in the sun and the storm...the workers who put their lives in risk ..jus fr making transportation easy for us

* It is a call for ensuring safety of workers who expose themselves to hazardous situations.. WORLD WIDE

Step 1: MATERIALS REQUIRED

To make our awesome metro train paper craft we need...

1. TEMPLATES( i hv attached them.. they are purely hand drawn) (IGNORE THE LAST PAGE IS WAS FR TRIAL)

2. GLUE

3. SCISSORS/X-ACTO

4. 1/2 HRS OF TIME (patience)

Step 2: MAKING THE TRAIN...chuk.chuk..chuk

For making the train u need train part(1,2,3) .

Take 2 copies of page 1.

Cut part 1 and glue the glue tabs to the required place to get the shape.( in 1st copy)

(in 2nd copy) cut out the portion which is shown in image 1

Now draw a rectangle of 4*1(l*b) and add a glue tab to the top of it as shown in image 2

Attach the glue tab abv the window portion of the train as shown n image 3.

Attach this to the train and glue all the glue tabs to the respective places in order to get the required shape.

Now cut train part 2 and attach it to the back of the train.

Now cut train part 3... glue the glue tabs to the required spaces.U get a box shaped object place that object in the blank surface in the top surface of the train.

VOILA THE TRAIN IS NOW READY!!!!!!

Step 3: MAKING THE PILLAR

This is pillar part -1.

Score the part in the high lighted places(as shown in image1) (the first score is 2cm frm the abv glue tab... and the 2nd score is 1cm frm abv the behind.)

Glue the glue tabs to the respective places to get the required shapes.(as shown in img 2)

Make 10(nos) like this....(fr tht u shd take 5 copies of pg 2 in the pdf file i hv attached)

Now attach two-two together . (as shown in img 3)

And half of your pillar is now ready.

NOW LETS MAKE THE OTHER HALF.

Now draw a rectangle of 26.5 * 20 (l*b).

Divide the rectangle into 20/4... i.e into 5 small rectangles.

Score the paper on that lines(5cm)

Now draw a rectangle of (26.5*1). Attach a glue tab on top of it.

Now attach this whole part to the big rectangle (26.5*20) at one end(glue it). (as shown in img 4).

For the final look of the other half of the pillar refer img 4.

Connect the first half to the 2nd half as shown in img 5.

For the texture(grey) u can use the ppt file that i have attached(make sure to print tht file in A4 and ccheck the box"fit to frame".

CHUK..CHIK.. HHMM UR METRO IS ON THE WAY.

Step 4: THE TRACK

Take an A4 sheet (i used the ppt cos i needed the texture u can use any texture).

From one end of the A4 measure 1cm and draw a line.

From that line measure 2 cm and draw a line.

Do like this on the other end too.

For reference see img 1.

Now do a mountain fold in the 1cm line.

After folding that fold a valley fold in the 2cm line.

Do 2 more like this and join them to make a track.

Ur track's ready!!!.

Now let's attach the pillars to the track.

Step 5: ATTACHING THE PILLARS TO THE TRACK

Measure and attach 2 pillars in the two ends of the track(in the center)

On the center of the track attach another pillar.

Between the center pillar and the pillar at one end, place another pillar(at the center).

See the image.

I also placed the train on top of it!!!!(COOL!!!).

Step 6: MAKING THE STATION.

Take an A4 sheet and measure 1cm and draw a line.

Attach the 1 cm(breadth)rectangle to the 1cm space in the track and one end.

The station is over!!!

Step 7: MAKING THE RAILS

Fold an A4 sheet into half.

In that half,fold and fold and make it a little smaller.

In the center of this half make a "V" shape.

These are the rails.

for this also u cud use the ppt texture

Step 8: VOILA YOUR TRAIN IS READY!!!!!!!
